It is said that the Pali Brahmins used to reside the place which are said to have highly civilized culture. Paliwals were said to have cultivated the land which was taken on lease by the Mandore Chief. As per study by the geologists they have discovered that Paliwals came from western sea to Rajasthan. Chinese traveller, Huein Tsang during 667 AD, discovered that Pali was a part of Gujar Desh.

Pali is the land of many battles which were fought and people have witnessed greatest fall in the history. The battles were mainly fought during the 16th-17th century and one of the greatest victories among the Rajput rulers was against Sher Shah Suri. Enduring Battles between Maharana Pratap and Mughals were greatest of all. But soon, the place was re-established by Maharaja Vijaya Singh. Another significance of this place is that, it had played a vital role during the freedom struggle against the British colonial rule.

The area which covers Pali is about 12, 300 sq km and the best time to tour Pali is during the month of August to March.

Major Tourist's attractions :

Somnath and Naulakha are the oldest temples of Pali.

Hatundi Rata Mahabir Swami Temple : The temple has been built in a pyramid structure and is dedicated to Jain Saint Mahavira. This is a very famous temple for the Jain devotees.

Nimbo Ka Nath : As per epic of Mahabharata, it is the place where Pandavas rested.

Bangur Museum : It has preserved traditional dresses, armours and ornaments etc to preserve countries greatest treasure.
