The city was established by Nagaitya is about 23 km from Udaipur. It was the erstwhile capital of Mewar and is considered to be a wonder land of beautiful temples which are dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The temple is designed with a huge door which is the entrance, designed with carved portal. But the temple was under the attack from a Muslim invader by the name Altameish. Although the ruins of the temples are preserved by the museum, still the place is visited by tourists from all around the country and even abroad. Therefore, it is said to be the hub of the Temples at Rajasthan.

Major Tourist Attractions :

Sas- Bahu Temple : It is indeed an irony that why this Temple was built by the name of Sas-Bahu during the 10th century. The two sculptures depict the Sas and Bahu shows that Sas Temple is huger than the Bahu temple. It is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and therefore it attracts tourists from throughout the country.

Jain Temple : The 9 foot fresco is the attractive part of this temple. The temple is devoted to Shanti Nath who was the ardent Jain Saint.

Nagda and the places of excursions :

Udaipur : The place is famous for its most beautiful temples, palaces and monuments and therefore, it has been included in the list of world heritage list. It is 23 km from Nagda and comprises of fantastic lakes which gives a warm lake side view away from the city life
